Ethereal wave

Ethereal wave ကို ethereal darkwave, ethereal goth (သို့) ethereal ဟုလည်းခေါ်ပြီး dark wave ဂီတ၏မျိုးခွဲတစ်မျိုးဖြစ်သည်။ ၁၉၈၀ အစောပိုင်းတွင် ဖွံဖြိုးတိုးတက်ခဲ့သည်။ UK တွင် gothic rock ကြီးထွားလာခဲ့ပြီးနောက် ethereal 4AD တီးဝိုင်းများ၏ ကိုယ်စားပြုခြင်းခံရသည်။ Cocteay Twins နှင့် Dead Can Dance တို့ပါဝင်သည်။ ၁၉၈၀နှစ်ဝက်တွင် အမေရိကန်တွင် ဤအမျိုးအစား ဆက်လက်တိုးတက်ခဲ့သည်။ အဓိကအားဖြင့် C’est La Mort Records နှင့်ဆက်သွယ်နေသည့် တီးဝိုင်းများမှာ Area နှင့် Heavenly Bodies ဖြစ်ပြီး Dead Can Dance နှင့် This Mortal Coil project မှ ဖွဲ့ခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။
